The Palestine department of the Gustaf Dalman Institute library contains volumes treating the history, culture, geology, natural history, law, and religious traditions of the region. There are also texts treating stories, songs, as well as archeological and travel reports from the 18th down to the early 20th centuries. The Judaica department features a wide array of rabbinic literature, including rare first editions from the 16th century. More recently, the department has been supplemented with a wide range of texts encompassing the exegesis, liturgy, folklore, and spiritual life of Judaism, including its relations with Christianity.
