Teaching at the Gustaf Dalman Institute

Students at creative work

Gustaf Dalman himself already understood his Greifswald Institute as a living teaching collection, and down to the present numerous seminars in the Theology Faculty, especially in biblical studies, have taken full advantage of its resources. In addition, in recent years the Institute--together with the Theology Faculty--has developed a special focus on Jewish studies. Lecture-courses and seminars on Judaism are regularly offered in the context of the new Theology Faculty chair in Jewish Literature and Culture. And since 2014, the Institute has offered its own courses dealing directly with the materials contained in the collection.
